Lights not working. HELP!

Hi

I have just completed a bulkhead change on my defender 200tdi. Also done a few other things, timing belt, heated windscreen, dam good service and clean and to my surprise when I turned the key everything works . . . except the lights, nothing except the sidelights, not indicators, hazards or main beams. Also not sure if its related to the lighting problem but when I turn the key off the engine runs on for 2/3 seconds.

Anyone have any ideas on what I have missed

Are bulkhead earths on.faulty ignition switch possibly

I've tested the ignition switch and seems ok, I'm sure all the earth's are on, my auto elec skills aren't the best but have been trying to trace the wires from the lights to the switch so see if I have plugged something in wrong somewhere, I keep getting lost in the main dashboard loom!
