Ive got a friend that is looking for a diesel light weight.

Where should I start looking?

tips,, yays and nays, whats good and bad.

As far as I know all lightweight's were petrol when new so any diesel's about are going to be conversions and how well done the job was done will vary as will the engine type.
 
Ex Dutch military lightweights have diesels fitted as standard. Not sure how hard they are to find tho at the military vehicle disposal places.
 
Nice white one on ebay at the mo with a disco 200tdi in it. Nice buy it now price to go with it though...10k.
I'd put a link on if I was clevererer.

Looks like he is going to do it!

He needs a list of spares, service spares and common problems that may happen to the 2.23 diesel series 3.
I can give him a list for the 300tdi but am clueless with the 2.25.

Can you help or should I go over to the series section?
Or both.
