Hello.
Could anybody tell me what´s wrong with the lights on my 90. Some days they won´t go on (head-, position-, rear- and instrumental ligths) at all. Might come back on after driving a while, maybe not. Lights never gone out while driving though. / Thomas

Wunt have thought all the lights would go out with a bad earth. Have you had a look at the main light switch for crappy contacts or connectors.

but he does say all sometimes don't come on why i suggested the earths but switch is also still a possibilty

with you stating that the instrument lights dunt come on aswell as the others it is your light switch that has got a bad contact, or it could be the feed from the ignition switch to the light switch.

according to the wiring diag. i have, the earth that supplies the headlights, tail, interior all come off the same header. maybe trace it back from the headlight switch and clean up all the connections:cool:

Yeah, tell me about it, but all the light circuits have a common header that comes off the main earth supply. this header feeds the instr cluster, head, tail, park, reverse and interior lights. probly find his problem is at the source of this header, which starts under the drivers seat and runs 2 behind the fuse box below the dash and i know that it looks like spagetti down there. I had a prob where if i touched anything to do with lights or brakes my charge light came on. Took a few weeks of scratching to find it was the earth supply to this same header under the seat.

Yes I have. There is no juice, currency? at all in the switch. (The light blink works all the time though.) None at any of the six light fuses either but the main light fuse under the seat has power all the time. Have tried to switch the relays below the fuses as well but no luck. What more??

when u switch on yer lights, the light switch just powers up a relay which closes and supplies power to the lights directly from yer main power supply. could be a bad earth or +ve at the relay or a faulty one. u will find it in the fuse box under the dash....think its the 1st or 2nd wun frm the right

if yer not got power at the switch u gotta trace all the wires back to the source. process of elimination always works. get yerself a tester
