Hey all,

After washing the mud and dirt off of my 2a, i've noticed a few hairline cracks in the fibreglass.

How would i go about repairing these? I was thinking it would be a case of sanding the area down to be clean of paint, cleaning it, apply some kind of filler, sanding that down, then applying a primer and rolling some paint over it.

Am i correct? Can anyone reccomend a filler or process for this?

cheers

That looks like quite a lot of cataloy (body filler) with that amount it will always crack.
for an easy fix grind it down with a 80 grit flap disc on a grinder & fill it with p38,
sand flat & re-paint for small pin holes & imperfections on the surface you can use top stop(which is just a fine body filler
if your fussy about the finish) if you have any bare metal (that the filler doesn't cover)
it should be etch primed before painting ;)

Okay, awesome, thanks for the reply. I'm not terribly fussed about the finish as long as it's not horrendous looking.

Thanks for the advice, i'll get on it when i get some days off :D

get behind it with a scraper and get all the **** off ! At least thats what i did with mine
