The LED's are great to light them up - I have also done the same to my 2 rear work lights with red LED's acting as tail lights, and they are also wired in to come on as reverse lights too
I have done all 6 lights with 2 LED's in each of them...
and this is what they look like - this is just on 'side lights', I have also put LED's in my front spot lights too
they are not as blue/purple in real life - just the camera isn't the best for this type of shot

Cor bugger you have spent some time there! I really like the LED's in the spots, great look to them! I really like the D2 lights aswell, alot of thought has gone into them. if i wasnt spending the rest of my holiday removing water from my engine and cabin, i would probably be playing with LED's! You have to much time on your hands ! I like the leds tho maybe not in all 6 tho are they on with headlights aswell?
Yes, on all the time the lights are on
Yes, leds in the spots.
Tries to take a pic with the lighrs o but never worked as just a white blur from all the lights

LEDs look good bud. I've had the same idea for ours when it gets a light bar but was unsure how well it would work. You have confirmed it looks ace.
I also really like the projector conversion on the facelift headlights, any progress pictures of that?

Cheers stu think I might have to do this as need to neaten my wiring anyway , looks like spaghetti on my roof rack atm
Best tip is to drill the bars and feed the wire through them - takes a while and can be a bit faffy when doing a few circuits but end result is worth it.

Sorry no real pics of the headlight conversation - just the end result.
But a lot of nervious moments when I was cutting out the reflectors, thinking if I cock this up, there go my headlights
but it all worked out fine - as not the first headlights I have converted, but always a worrying moment!

Well ive been thinking about this , is morning .
And what I think will work?
Is attach each earth to the metal lugs where the spots mount to on all the lights
And then on the edge run a earth wire off the roof rack that way theres no earth cables running along?
What u recon?
With the power im just gona have to neaten them up
, have you got a relay holder or something as atm mine are just srewed to the inside wing and looks abit messy...

They look fine to run wires through - the racks I make are 22mm with 3mm walls, and I can run wires through them
Although depending how they are welded, you may need to come out and then back in again for the supports that go down onto the gutter rail.
They are the same spots I got by the looks of things, so easy to put in some LEDs.
I put in a rivnut in each side of the rack, and then run an earth wire from each side to the gutter rail, which sorts out the earthing issue. One will probably be enough, but I always like to over engineer
I then run the earth from the the spot light (which incorporates the earth for the LEDs) to the bolt holding them onto the rack. Just make sure you sand off a bit of the paint at that point to get a good earth connection. Then that saves running an earth through the rack. You then just have the positive wire from the bulb, and then one positive for the LEDs (if you fit them) so 2 wires in all.
I have my lights on different circuits so I have 2 main feeds going in plus one for the LEDs, but in fairness 3 wires is nothing to hard to sort out.
As for relay holders - nothing that posh - a load of cable ties holding them all together - not pretty but they are out of side secure, so that will do.

Ohh rivets! Didnt think off that I was just going to drill right through with a nut and bolt! good idea!

So theres 2 connections each circuit

It is faffy as I say running the wires through the bars, but drill a 10mm hole and then use a paper clip shaped in a hook to pull out the wires when you feed them through the bar. Then tape up the other wires to the first wire you pull through to get the others through if that makes sense!
I have used the interior circuit and also the side light circuit, as I have mine coming on when you unlock the car, but make sure you take it from the circuit of opening if you are going down that route and not the interior light, as then everything comes when you put on the inside light.
