When I bought my 200tdi, it came with a light bar fitted above the windscreen which was'nt working. I replaced the relay in the engine bay and hey presto it started working, but would get stuck on sometimes when going from main beam to dip, whith an audible clicking coming from under the passenger side dash (relay I guess). I have now disconnected the light bar relay, but still get the ticking relay sound and one of the headlights doesnt come on in full beam.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or such like of the lighting system, so I can follow it and try and solve the issues above?

Sounds like someones picked up the switching feed to the relay from the headlamp main beam wire that isn't working.

Hopefully you can see what new wirings been added. remove it if possible, are you sure the bulb hasn't blown in the headlamp?

There should be 4 wires to the relay, an earth, a 12v positive feed, a feed from the headlamp main beam to operate the coil of the relay and a supply off to your light bar (the one i think you've disconnected)

As its an aftermarket thing, i doubt your find a diagram but its nothing complicated to suss out, if you local to me, (Surrey/hampshire ish) Il take a look for ya!

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your help mate, I shall go and have a look tonight after work. The headlioght bulb is fine as I swapped them to check that exact thing. I shall have a look for any wires that have been added to the relay under the dash.

It's really kind of you to offer to take a look, but I'm currently in the Falklands with the RAF for another year yet. Mind you it's only 8500 miles if you fancy popping over lol!
