Lifted suspension issue

I have had a suspension lift on my Disco 1 and after a spot of green-laning I noticed that one of the rear coils had unseated itself from the top mount presumably as a result of that wheel being lifted in the air. I jacked the rear up and relocated it but it seems odd that this can happen..... has anyone else experience this?

Very common! Do a search for dislocation cones.

Pretty common, like he says^^^^^^^^^^^^^. You need dislocation cones if you are planning to get full axle articulation often.

It nearly as common as people posting queries in Members Vehiceles section, which is supposed to be a gallery of errr.... Members Vehicles!

Try Extreme 4x4 Stainless Steel if you want a quality dislocation cone. Not the cheapest, but very good!

Or you can make some out of string and cardboard but they'll probably be a bit rubbish

Loads on ebay though, wide range of prices.Or if you are any good with a welder easy enough to make.

Get some spring clamps and some jubliee clips, lol. Jubilee clip the tops of the springs to the top plate and get the heavy duty spring clamps to hold the spring to the base of the axle.

If you want axle articulation however, then get the dislocation cones.
