Done a bit of a search -

plenty of people looking for lift up handle doors
plenty of people selling lift up handle doors
some posts about using them

...but no posts that i can find on people saying "i much prefer them" or "the modern doors are loads better"

So, what do you think?

The bit i dont like about the doors on my 101 is when you have the window open, and then youre looking through two sheets of glass at the mirror. Obviously theres less to rust on them, but, again, just wondering what people though - as in preference?

I've owned Series and Defenders, and when I can justify the spend I'll be changing to Series type doors. Simpler, better looking (my opinion!) and a little more elbow room! As for the windows, military or Rocky Mountain door top windows open both ways.

I put series doors on my wife's 90, they do the job, stop people getting in ,stop me falling out. A bit more utilitarian than the ones on before, fitted the anti burst like for safety.

Lift up handles with wind down windows would be my choice. My push button handles always seem to freeze up overnight in the winter, despite plenty of lube the night before oooh errr.

Lift up handles.
Just looks better. Plus easier, cheaper to get or repair.

Agree with the above. However whilst the lock barrels are easy to get, the latch assemblies are almost impossible to find..... https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-ro...rrel-replacement-problem.320095/#post-4070165.
On early 90s there were two versions (both L&R) of the LUH latch, both unobtainium!

I have a set of push button doors with wind up windows I just removed.
I'm hoping to rebuild these. You should be able to cross ref most rover parts for the doors handles.

I prefer the look and operation of the lift up types. As mentioned above, the push button on the outside of the later doors can freeze up in wet/cold weather - just a minor thing though.
