LH Side cv joint???

Hi all just a new guy so be gentle,i have a 98 plate freelander 1.8 petrol and love it dearly already, i've repaired all the small niggly bits and noticed when i bought it that there was a bit of noise comin from lh front drive shaft when out on road and pressing throttle, if i take my foot off of the throttle noise goes, sounds worse when weight goes onto that wheel when cornering right, could be a few things i know but hopefully someone can help me before i have to strip whole lot out and replace, shaft, cv joint wheel brg etc.
