LH Door open (but not the latch)

I took my rover in to have the sunroof fixed. When I went to pick it up, they couldn't get it to start (engine disabled) and told me it was the door latch. I could have replaced that myself, but since it was stuck at the dealership I had to pay them to do it.

When I picked it up, every now and then it would say the door was open (and the window wouldn't work). It proceeded to get worse, and now it says it constantly.

I have taken the door panel off, and check the wires with an ohm meter, the latch is functioning (closed circuit while door open, open circuit while door closed).

Next I swapped the door outstation from the passenger side. It didn't make a difference.

Where do we go from here?

The wiring from the door into the body. If everything in the door is working then that's the next step.
