Thanks for that! OOooh now theres another issue - seats!!

Are they specific seats for a Defender or have you adapted em so they fit?

I would wanna change the ones which are in (I havent got mine yet but I imagine they wont be what I want ) but I want some bench ones for the back with lapbelts... Saw a place online but cant for the life of me find em again now, even after looking through my internet history - grrrrr:mad:

Different seating anyone?:)

Mine are bucket seats fitted to a Custom made (diy) subframe.

I'm deciding upon the seating for the back of mine at the mo, only so far found DefenderTrimcouk - Hoods Seats and interior Trim for Land Rovers from the Diesel Centre and sams4x4.co.uk who I think only do benches but in custom materials (i think).

edit: sorry, thought you specifically said rear seating, either way, both of them sites have loads of options. They even do the subframes so you could fit whatever you wanted.

No that is great, just having a gander on there now! I just will be using this Landy for so many things and I spend a fair amount of time in there that I wouldnt mind kitting it out how I like it!

Cheers for that guys and gals!

thats my theory too, the seats are pretty cheap too so you can really do what you want (well the benchs are cheap anyways). I've lined the back of mine in industrial non slip vinyl (the stuff that has carbon and metal...etc in it) and I'm going to plywood the sides and cover with carpet methinks.

bbuuumppp, any one have any pics of ther defender rear ends any beds in place cupboards etc?? pictures please :)

anyone trimmed out the rear without using the lr panels? Boarded & carpeted etc?

I have carpeted mine, floor, arch and sides with heavy duty black carpet! Alot quieter. Need to do the roof but in White/baige.
Have sub/amp and speakers in boxes, at the front.
Big box for general crap!
Tool box on wheel arch.
Looks alot better.
