Left Front Tyre Wear

Hi All,

My 2001 TD4 has developed tyre wear on the outside edge of the left front tyre. Also, If I try to centre the steering wheel when driving, it seems to wander left, therefore to keep it straight I need to keep it slightly off centre to the right.

I hope that makes sense.

Any ideas on probable causes would be appreciated.

Also, as my tyres will eventually need replacing can anyone recommend a decent profile tyre for 15 inch alloys, as my current tyres look too skinny for the car.
