Gonna have a go at repairing the seam on the leather covered drivers seat
in the Discovery - now that I have sensible info (thanks Derek) it doesn't
seem such a daunting task.

I have a piece of suitable material. Wondering if there's any particular
glue that's recommended for sticking material to leather? or if any
'impact' adhesive will do?

Thanks for reading.

superglue works very well on leather. Being that it can be used to
seal up cuts in skin and leather is skin then it probably should work
well!
i glued up a few tears in a leather car seat with superglue and it
lasted perfectly.

I don't claim this to be any sort of good advice, but failing anything
better, "Copydex" is worth checking as a possibility.
