Hi Lads,Need a bit of advice,Please Bare with me on this.Just changed all the springs and shackels on my series 3,I put a set of normal road springs on front265627UK | Front Road Spring RH 11 leaf - UK Manufactured.264563UK | Front Road Spring LH 11 leaf - UK Manufactured.and a set of parabolics on the rear PARA02 | 88in Rear Parabolic Springs - Pair - 3 Leaf,My first ?Handed Springs,When springs above are RH they go Drivers side ?and LH on passager,Is that correct .The landy looked ok when the front springs where put on,But when the rear parabolics where replaced its leaning badly to drivers side. The parabolics above had the same number stamped on them.I going to rip them off and swap them over,Anybody else have this problem?

rh is drivers side ,the front springs are probably cheap britpart ones and its not unknown to get a poor one that needs replacing ,i fitted them and theyve lasted years but you do get a faulty one often thats sags overnight or straight away ,the same probably applies to rear to

Thanks Lads ,I did ask who made springs,And Paddocks say they don,t do britpart springs anymore,These are made by british springs,The fronts where on a month before the rears and theres was no problem,She was sitting level but low at the back, its only when i put the parabolics on the rear she sat to the drivers side, but i did not think parabolic springs where handed.I will change them around and let ye know,Cheers:)

I went through two sets of springs from Paddocks before they gave me my money back for exactly the same reason (about 18 months ago) - in the end purchased new set from GB Springs for same price and fitted brilliantly - Guy up there knows exactly what he is talking about and brilliant service too.

I have no issue with Paddocks, and use them extensively, but for good value for money springs would 100% recommend GBSprings every time!

All,

This seems to be a common problem - I have the same issue. The motor was a bit leany before I swapped the spings over but now is really bad. I did buy cheap paras so I am hoping its them. I have gone through the chassis measuring everything but it all seems to be more or less right +/- 5mm. Looks like I'll fork out for some decent springs then.

Thanks lads for that info,Its was great to get that feedback, I think i will do the same a get a set of decent springs from GB springs,I will leave the rear springs the way they are for the moment,Because even with the lean ,Its drives much better than before,Old springs were gone past it.:)

if the springs were handed it should lean slightly to pasenger side when no 1s sat in drivers seat because of having diesel tank and driver on same side should sit level with full tank of diesel and driver in it

I had a another series 3 owner look at the rear springs on the landy today,He seems to think i could have put them on the wrong side judging by the angle of the rear drivers side shackle ,which does stick that bit further out,He told me somebody else he knows as the same springs from paddocks and there ok,There a british made spring by these people he inform me GME Springs Not british springs .Heres another article i found on the subject , Parabolic Spring fitting :)
