Leaky td5

In my attempt to eliminate the water leak into the drivers side footwell.
I have taped up all area's that I can see, could some one tell me is it possible for water to leak from the area where the roof rails are bolted to the roof ?? Thanks

It is possible, but the more likely cause of water in the footwells, is a leak in the heater matrix. Does the liquid in the footwell have a smell to it?

There is an unpleasant smell a bit like maybe cat pee !! stale socks !! I put this down to the carpet being wet / damp what would do ya reckon??
