Hi all.

I'm trying to locate the source of a few leaks on my series 2 ambulance before i take it in for an MOT. Both front swivel hubs are leaking badly, and i am planning on using 'one shot' to help fix this, but would also like to try and fix the source of the leak first. I thought it was mostly likely to be the hub oil seal, but based on the photo, does it look more like the o ring around the swivel pin has failed, as to me it looks like the oil is leaking from around the base, not further up? The other photo is of the rear of the sump. I understand that the rear crank seal can be a source of leaks, but based on the amount of oil on the sump bolts, is it more likely to be the sump gasket that has failed?

Any advice very welcome

Chasing leaks is bread and butter on a series. I can’t believe the grot I’ve had to scrape off the engine and gearbox while refurbishing my engine.
Most seems to have originated from the rear crank seal but every seal on the gearbox seems to be weeping as well.
