Recently bought a 1984 series 3 that had been sitting for 13 years. Everything is great, runs well, got MOT'ed etc but I have a laky rear hub seal. I looked online and found lots of hub seals but nothing that looks like the part that is cracked. Does anyone know where I could get these. PLease have a look at the pics. The part that is cracked is made of rubber and is arrowed:

Mite be worth checking the axle breather isn't blocked as the hub bearings run on oil rather than grease and if the breather is blocked it can cause the axle caps to leak oil, hope this helps :)

As a late model series 3 yours is fitted with the later 90/110 type, ones available today are plastic but either type will fit.
I run series metal ones on my 90 as they are tougher and can take a tap or two off roading and even if knocked off can be reused if found.

The oil coming from the hub cap could be the manifestation of a leaking hub oil seal. Replace the hub cap but if it's still leaking it's the above paper gasket oil seal. It sits behind the hub. Access via jacking up remove wheel put on axle stands and remove the six hub bolts. The gasket sits behind. They cost about 55 pence.
