Hi folks,
I have a 19 j fitted to series 3.Diesel is dripping from the fuel solenoid at the back of the injector pump. I tried PTFE tape on the thread, but no joy. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Many thanks for reading.

It's supposed to have a washer on it.
I would remove it and check its got the washer and replace it anyway. Check the mating faces for burrs too.
New ones come with the washer and aren't overly expensive iirc.
Actually....(it's been a while since I've delved) isn't there an O ring on it??

Get a new washer. Dont use PTFE tape on fuel systems.

Like he sez^^^^^^^^^^^^, new solenoid never does any harm, and will have washers.

HI folks and thanks for he replies. No washer in the usual sense, but there is an o ring. Should there be a washer? is it a copper compression washer? or is there a part number for the o ring? I'll pull off the PTFE tape, and also check for burrs.

Cheers as ever.
