leaky freelander 2

Hi everyone just bought freelander 2 on a 2007 plate found big puddle of water behind rear seats rains a lot in Devon anyone got any ideas how it gets in.

Usually through a badly formed seam in the boot area or through a rubbish / damaged boot / tailgate rubber seal or rear light seals ...

Drill a hole in the floor or pull a grommet to let the water out ... dry well ... yeah I meant that ...

Get someone to sit in the boot area while you play a hose pipe over the areas ... some times it helps to dust the floor with talc then you can see where the water runs from easier ...

Have a search around the Freelander freds ... many have leaked ...

Thanks mate this is the HSE model with 2 sunroofs thought one of them maybe leaking

I'd check the lower end first ... it's easier ...

The sunroofs probably DO leak ... as well ....

Probably sunroof drain blocked then, pipe in each corner below glass panels, roof bars can leak where they join body, would expect if it were tailgate leaking for spare wheel to sit in water

Many thanks think it maybe sunroof thought they had improved drainage used to have an old discovery used to keep gold fish in it lol
