Leaking swivel hubs?

I buzz them up with the airgun on it's lowest setting, that's approx hand ratchet tight.

Might get flamed but I don't use torque wrench for any axle components!
 
Get it on as best you can them tap it on with hammer and screwdriver

If the cv joint is disappearing then thread one of the drive flange (m10) bolts into the end of it to hold it out with

Tricks ot' trade :)
 
Was a right pain. Got everything back together and was about to put the seal retaining ring on at the back of the ball and realised I had put it on the wrong way round :eek:. Just got a few things to reassemble in the morning and then should be done. Then I have the other side to do :thumbdown:

+1 Experience is the key to knowing how tight something should be.
I rarely use a torque wrench, Head bolts mainly.
