I managed to fix both front side drain pipes as both rubber grommets had perished and I had wet carpets after leaving the vehicle in a heavy storm. I googled all the info I could but was very reluctant on the passenger side to remove the fuse assembly due to the difficulty to put back and reports of electrical gremlins after replacing. I did it without removing the fuse assembly by hooking the perished grommet with a piece of strong wire and I screwed a self tapping screw with a piece of strong fishing line tied to it into the grommet. I removed the passenger side pillar trim and pulled out the pipe the fishing line was now in place to pull back. I extended the pipe and connected the fishing line to the new pipe and pulled it back through.
The drivers side was easy as you could get your hands all the way to the grommet hole. I thought it was a bit easier than taking out the fuse assembly and wanted to share with the group as it seems to be a very common problem.
