I picked up my 1980 series 3 2.25 petrol from landy specialist garage today following the replacement of the front crank oil seal and crank pulley. The engine started to get hot this afternoon with the temp guage creeping up towards the red so this evening I checked the radiator coolant level and it appears fine but I noticed coolant dripping onto the floor. On further inspection I noticed that when turned off and stationary there is a slow dribble of coolant emanating from a hole on the underside of the the casing on the engine side of the fan belt pulley. The hole looks like it is supposed to be there. Any ideas why coolant is dribbling out of this hole and apparently causing my temp guage to creep towards the red? Thanks

Think that's your water pump, it's fecked if coolant is leaking past the impellor bearing.
See if the fan belt pulley will wiggle from side to side and up and down and if more coolant comes out.

Is coolant coming out of the weep hole at the bottom of the water pump "leaking past the impellor bearing"?

It is a bit coincidental that this happens immediately after the garage have replaced the crank pulley/crank pulley oil seal. The fan belt seems very taught - could over tightening the fan belt have damaged the water pump?

Yep the gland seal has failed on the pump and it sounds like you need a newun.
I'd be asking the garage why they screwed this up, its possible its a coincidence but as mentioned above an overtightened fan belt could cause this, the pump must have been a little worn to start with, I'd expect a landy mechanic to know this.
