HI All.

I've decided that I'm going to keep my Freelander TD4 after all and spend some money on it, one thing that's bugging me though. The boot well where the jack lives has water in it. Not lots but enough to be annoying.

I've seen on Youtube that it comes in from the seam where it's welded to the body of the car.

Is there an easy fix like a sealant that can be forced in the seam from underneath or some kind of mastic? The only other option I can think of is drilling out the spot welds and riveting and I don't have a welding set.

Thanks in anticipation.

I have had success using an 'elastomer based seam sealer' I got from a local body shop. Solved a water leak on an old mini. Try eBay.

I took the carpet up and put sealant around the edge of the cubby hole and no leaks since.
