I spoke to diesel bob this morning and he said the price for the Viton seal is £5 and if I take the IP with me he will supply, fit and time the pump for £30 while I wait. So I am taking it over today.
Thanks very much for all your help....Tony

Hi, you say you think its down to the bio that the seal failed! How long have you been running on it?

Reason being I have done over 30,000 miles on 100% bio in the past 3 years and I am wondering if I will get this problem at some point? All it has eaten up to now is the fuel return pipes, so I just change them at every service.

Not sure on milage but I would estimate about 10 000 but it has done167000 miles and last cam belt was done at 70.000 and I presume It is the original pump seals from new and was used off road a lot so it has had quite a hard life and I think there was a slight leak when I got it as I couldnt trace the leak so presumed it was from some where else...Tony
