+1 on that dan I’m a complete novice at this mechanics lark I keep telling the missus it’s my project and without people on this forum with plenty of experience I certainly wouldn’t have started such a big undertaking so the more people that help the better and I’ve I can give advice I would

I find it amazing how people fall out on this forum, if you don't like the advice offered then just ignore it, if you don't like trading insults, then don't respond. If you're prone to temperamental dummy spitting, a landrover is probably not the vehicle for you.

He is a picture to help calm you all down. My tratter resting in the faint glow of a decending summers evening in her natural habitat.
I was having a pee up a tree and looked back at her and my worries just drifted away.
Love conquers all and my tratter loves everybody she sees.

So what do you do if someone is talking nonsense and misguiding others. Say nothing and let people be sent in the wrong direction. Or speak up and correct things. Too many happy amateurs with delusions of grandeur on here at times.

Politely point out the error of their ways, while also covering for the eventuality that someone else may indeed have found a better way, or just an alternative way, to do something. That works for me, anyway
