Last night the "stranger" knocked on my door looking for the owner of the LWT. Tonight, the "stranger" drove past my house whilst I was just fitting some new striker plates to my doors. Introduced himself and we had a good chat.

Took my Landy down to it his at it broke down last night, took mine down as he was gonna try tow it with his car, we didnt think a car would tow it on the flat never mind up a hill in the wet....

Still had a bloody good laugh though, as vehicles are now shackled up to each other, on a steep hill, on wet tarmac.

Ready (take up the slack), Steady (check for traffic).... Go !!!!

I set off in low range to get it going, after about 10 yards, I look behind me and he's in the middle of the road  my back end starts sliding sliding so I give it a bit more gas to straighten it up, so there I am on the main road to Baildon doing a 2mph power slide in a lightweight !!!! :car:

when we get to his house I asked him what happened............ f**ing LOL his steering lock came on just at the corner...oh we did laugh when he said I was shouting STOP, unfortunately with my V8 at 2.5k rpm with only one silencer... strange I couldnt hear him

Anyway hes safe and his new purchase is back home now on the driveway. Turns out he bought it from this site, he drove it back from Lincoln and on the M606 it started to lose power, got worse through Bradford, and finally gave up when it hit the hill.

Its a very nice looking motor though, S3 lightweight pick up, 5sp box (??) and 2.25 oil burner. Its got plenty of goodies with it, light bar, roll cage, sand mats, hi lift jack.... Chassis looks good (I think its a cut down as the coil spring attachments look original)

Its nice to be the nice guy for once :hippie:
