gonna head up to bala in wales this weekend ive been before but not in my own vehicle. any recommended routes.... dont particularly want or need difficult runs as will be on my own (unless anyones up that way???) just want some good views and that sort of thing

thanks:eek:

There's a nice circular route heading out towards Corwen, then over to the start of Wayfarer and dropping back into Bala... cant remember the GR's exactly and not near a map.... any others you find let us know!!

Corwen car wash is easy to find, nice gated ford, from bala go past buffalo farm on right, at traffic lights turn right, down to bottom, there it is. The wayfarer is a lovely route over the berwyn mountains with grat views, a little rocky in places but we did it on our own in our rangie a couple of months ago with the kids just don't be tempted to tear upi the lane off piste as some other muppets have!

I won't be off the lanes don't worry! And will look out for them on the maps when I get it tonight. Thanks guys. Will have lots of pics and will also let you no of others I find, thanks

I went last weekend, and did the wayfairs route and the mountains just to the south of Bala town. Was a good weekend and the weather was great, will put some pics up tomoro :)

I am currently on holiday in Trecastle, just outside of Brecon, and planning to do some green laning in the vicinty tomorrow (Sunday). Anyone up for joining me and my Discovery1 for some fun tomorrow, let me know. Mobile is 07974 924615.

Gentle or harder, I don't mind. My motor is fairly standard (no snorkel or raised suspension) but I do have Mud Tyres and protection on (and a tasty winch at the front for any troublesome climbs!)

Cheers
Kevin
