Pulling together some noob laning on Sunday 17th for a visitor from another parish :alien: Was hoping to get out to look at some new (to me) lanes.

Intend to try and plan a route this weekend and then confirm start points etc by PM. Will run the route by someone who knows the lanes better than me (<fx cough />, MHM hope that would be OK?) to make sure everyone doesn't get too much recovery practice on my freeby :D

As it's my first go, don't expect a polished and slick route! If you're happy to tag along at a noob's pace, drop me a PM.

Sent out a PM to those who expressed an interest. Looking forward to getting out after being thwarted the last two attempts! :D

Have sent out a PM (well will have in a min :) ) to Kooky Guy and Dry Hump - complete list
Snifflebag
The Mad Hat Man
Rustyrangie
Ned25
Paulieboy (of another parish)
Kooky Guy
Dry Hump

That's at the top end of what I'd be happy with, so no more - hope you won't be disappointed :)

Silly question (cos LZ members are a restrained and teetotal lot :D ) - anyone know of pubs around Alton we might consider on our travels on Sunday?

The Poacher in South Warnborough does very good food.
The Railway in Alton does very good ale but no food
The 8 Bells in Alton also does very good ale but no food
The French Horn in Alton also does good ale and good food (and has a car park).
etc

The NoName on the way to Farringdon also does very good food and ale but i don't know if we'll be heading in that direction although there are some good lanes up there. It laos has a mahoosive car park but it's in the middle of nowhere so I'd have to look on a map to find it.

Hi Sniff,

I am really sorry, but i am not going to be able to make it on sunday, something at work has cropped up and i just can't get out of it. Gutted, i was really looking forward to meeting up with you all. Oh well hopefully next time. I hope that this hasn't put you out, if so my apologies.

I hope that you all have fun, though I am sure you will :)

I have tried to PM you, but I am not sure if it is going through!!!!!!

Regards
Scottie

Thanks to everyone for a great day out and to Redwings for taking the lead later on and keeping us all on the straight and narrow - certainly made the Freeby work hard  No one got stuck though :D

Will post piccies and video just as soon as I can.
