Did you have a look at the main bearing shells?

yes i took the middle one out , again very little scioring , so i got the 20/50 oil , putting bk together then start him up .... thou when i was driving him he was good at first , only when warmed up did the knocking happen , and loss of power . i was gutted as just got him moted at the time, after 7 years of rebuild .

thanks, the work is a bit scary, thou am determing too do this .i have four brothers too which two of them are mechanics. i asked them loads of times for help but no good.
so i decided too have a go myself. i have my dads old tools so have come in use,. i am doing this on my own so i would love and appreciate any advice . and thankyou for the humble welcolming

In the motor trade, doing work for family is known as love jobs and best avoided at all costs as no money changes hands!

When I first started in the game everyone had work on the side, nowadays not so, 20 blokes where I work and I think only one does private work.
