HELLO GUYS OR LADIES

I HAVE A D2 TD5
MY FOB WAS NOT WORKING CANT DO THE EKA RIGHT SO I THOUGHT I WOULD CHANGE RECEIVER IN THE ROOF STILL DID NOT WORK SO TESTED FOB ON RF SCANNER AND ITS SENDING A SIGNAL, BOUGHT A MACHINE TO HAVE A LOOK AND THERE IS NO CODE IN THE SLOT WHERE MY FOB SHOULD BE IVE TRIED PROGRAMMING THE 6 NUMBER IN WITH A FOXWELL N510
STILL WONT WORK DOES ANYONE LIVE IN LUTON WHO GOT A NANOCOM WHO COULD SINK MY KEYS WILL PAY YOU
 
Why can you not do the EKA right now?

never heard of a foxwell N510.

Is the red light on your fob lighting up when you press a button?

Also, what is the dash led doing?

fob light comes on and my dash led flash every 2 seconds
i can't do the eka code because my car lock contact are not working as they should.

the n510 is a cheap machine £185 on ebay meant to be able to program keys and thats how i know my fob is not connected to my bcu
 
Can you unlock the car?
Why is the lock not working for the EKA?
Have a look on the LZIR map and see if anyone local has a nanocom who is happy to help.

BUT, if the car is still immobilised, then the nanocom will NOT talk with the BCU.

Oh, and £185 is not a cheap machine to talk with a d2.......plus D2 TD5's if it is a diesel are not fully OBDII compliant.

so what do you suggest, my reader does read my bcu very intermittent tho sometimes it will connect and sometimes it won't when it does connect i can see that there is no codes saved and that my receiver is working fine.
and if a nanocom cant read it to re do my key i dont know what to do
 
maybe im not doing it right i was able to change it via my reader to a simple code to 1221 so i put the key in turn it right for 4-5 sec get a beep then turn it to middle then i turn it left twice because the second time it unlocks then twice unlock then once lock i dont get 2 beeps saying it was correct. i wait 5 min but soon as open door alarms goes of i put key in and nothing ?
 
OK, for a start,

it is turn right, and hold for 5 secs til it beeps.
back to ctr.
then turn towards the FRONT again .when you eneter the FIRST number..
. not the rear of the car.
 
yes i do ive seen what i am meant to do but i dont get second beep

Many of us here on LZ appear to bang on about code readers for use with the Discovery 2 Td5.
The diesel Disco didn't become fully OBDII compatible until the release of the Discovery 3 in the middle of 2004. Prior to that, the diesel Discovery on board diagnostics was not fully compatible. Petrol Discos were compatible at an earlier time.
Many "cheaper", or less expensive code readers including the Foxwell N510 might appear to work, as in giving some results, but they aren't reliable. Also these cheaper readers are unlikely to communicate successfully with all of the ECUs in the vehicle, particularly the SLABS and BCU control units. When the manufacturers list Land Rover as an applicable vehicle, the usually mean those Land Rovers which are OBDII compliant.
There are, as far as most of us are aware only four reliable code readers for the Disco 2; Nanocom, Hawkeye, Lynx and TestBook.
That having been said, can you be sure that changes you say you've made to the EKA code have actually been properly applied? Maybe you should try the old EKA code as well. Incidentally, I don't think that the Hawkeye can read/change the EKA code at this time as the Nanocom can.
Until the immobiliser can be disabled, a code reader cannot communicate with the vehicle.
