landrover series 3 1978 petrol

carberettor issues, will start and run from cold for a bit then stutters and dies out,restarts and same again revs but coughs and splutters, there is a pattern zenith carb on ebay are they any good,think mine is too corroded to bring round
your thoughts please,or maybe the weber as long as it all connects as it should.

fuel supply is good, which is why i am thinking carb,looking at the state of it looks as tho it has been trying to run underwater

you can get refurb kits for them which is probably a better bet than a pattern of unknown quality.

I keep being tempted to go for a later [FONT=Arial Black,Arial,Helvetica]Weber 32/34 DMTL but that means changing the manifolds as well as making a down pipe.

The straight fit(ish) [/FONT][FONT=Arial Black,Arial,Helvetica]Weber 34ICH doesn't seem a great option as you lose performance (a relative term but still)[/FONT]

got the kit,fitted and all is well, runs as it should
