Landrover Freelander 2 lights stay on and no cruise control

Hi all this has just happened to are Freelander when the ignition is on the lights come on and stay on.
There is no high beam and also the cruise control has stopped working I have read it could be a broken wire but does anyone have any idea were to look any help will be much appreciated it's a 2007 car.
