I am looking at a nice set of leather sets foe my 3 door. The front have Heated setas, and I noitce that the blanks for the switches where heated seatswitch would be, have the necessary wiring to these

Does anyone know if the Wiring for the heated seats is there by default, and could I just fit the switches and connect at seat and switch, and were off??

Or am I being stuipid, as that would be so easy.

Also similar idea for front fog lights, and if wiring is in place, how easy or not to change front bumper to one with fog lights?

And the steerling wheel. This one at breakers has switches for stereo control, on the leather steering wheel. Does the standard wiring have the loom for this, or am I really being stupid.

The fog light wiring should be under the dash (you should find the plug behind the fog light blank), but it might be missing the engine bay loom section. It's pretty easy to fit that part though, as I did with mine.
The steering wheel switch wiring should be in place, and wired to the audio system too.

You would need to check the headed seat wiring under the carpet below the seats, however the wiring should be behind the switch blanks.

Hi,

The connectors are under the seats for the heated seats ... and you should have the fuse already in place.
You need also to find the missing switches, you can try on ebay about 30 bucks each.

For the fog light, you need to look if you already have the loom in the engine bay, find the switch missing switch ...
But do you already have the front bumper and foglights ?
Because if not, you will need a lot of stuff and you will not get them at a decent price, especialy for the front bumper ...

Note: The left & right heated seat switches have different connectors, so you will need a pair. There's four wires & two contacts in each. One contact triggers the seat relay under each seat. The other is simply to light up the switch when on !!

They vary hugely in price & if I remember correctly different type for facelift to earlier cars..

Ive identified a car at a breakers, and going Saturday, If deal can be done, i can get the seats and switches from them, and the steering wheel (Leather).

Ill have to check the loom in my car first, but front fog lights can probably wait until another time, but they have the switches in the dash for all the bits.

Another Question, my car has 2 rear seats, and although there are levers at the back, either they are broke, or the 2 rear seats don't go down.

Can anyone advise if the 2 rear seats (which are solid right across), are designed to fold down, before I spent half a day trying to fix them.....
