Landrover disco Engine 10P or 15P - Whats the difference

Hi

We need to replace the Engine in our Disco TD5, ( the Injector seals leaked and the fuel got into the oil and the engine is broken) but one place has asked me if the Engine is a 10P or a 15P.

My Engine number starts 15P, does anyone know what the difference is in the two engines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the engine is broken.....????? ive had this happen on a TD5 disco too,one that i bought to sell on and got my fingers burnt with...thats life lol,but despite the damage(bent conrod etc)t was alot cheaper/easier to rebuild the engine that to change it for nother.......so before you throw that lump away i suggest you get a price for a rebuild at a non mainagent

Unless there's a conrod sticking out of the side of the engine it would be best to take that good advice.

Rebuilding an engine is fun, and quite easy really.

The bits and bobs and bearings are all there to be had.
