iam so anoyed so s**m tried nicking my 90td last sunday, thankgod they failed! does anyone have any idea of a good security system to use? i was think insurance cat2?? any ideas?

wat I do is disclock on sterring wheel, and stick it in neutral low/high range in the hope that the bastid who tries nickin mine is a dumb f'uck and dont realise its in neutral (between low and high) and so wont move and gives up. long shot I know but hey!

When i leave mine for a little i also put it in neautral on the transfer box and also take the battery out. Wont stop the professional. I also leave it unlocked now with nothing valible in it so some one can get in look around and leave it with out breaking anything.
At my friends yard were we have quite a few we take the props off as well.

also leave it lookin mucky outside AND in!will put off some!ya jus gotta do wat ya can ta try and put off as many 'types' of thievin bastids as possible!security aint wat landrover does best!

if its on ya drive selotape an old style razorblade to the inner side of ya outer door handle, and tape a couple of razorblades t ya steering wheel!i must admit that i'm a bit of a evil bastid, even more so wen someone tries t take sumat from mi!thers a lot more i could tell ya,but am not goin ta.

Turn your steering on full lock (into the curb if there is one). Fit a disc lock steering wheel lock. They cover the whole steering wheel and spin on top of the wheel thus preventing the actual steering wheel being able to be turned.

If you have an older landy a thief will probably attempt to drive it away. The disc lock steering wheel lock will prevent this. They are not 100% proof against attack but they do require plenty of noise to be made to remove em.

If your landy is a newish one then a truck is more likey to be used to take take your pride and joy. By turning the steering onto full lock and then fitting a disclock it makes life very difficult (not impossible though) to take it as the landy will try and fall off the side during loading. If the truck has a hi-ab (crane) then it's game over. Luckily most small hi-ab equipped trucks (7.5ton) don't have good enough cranes to lift a landy. If the thief (or tow away company) wishes to remove your vehicle using a crane and with the steering on full lock there is a VERY good chance that when lifting using a crane the wings will be crushed in. This will deter tow away companies from taking the chance and make your landy easier to spot if nicked.;)
