Landrover 90 lumpy steering

Hi all, my 1984 90 has suddenly developed weirdly lumpy steering its seems ok then as you start to turn if gets heavy then light again, seems random, any ideas on cause?

Slack belt, low fluid, maybe a duff steering damper(unlikely) seized steering column UJ.

as above & PAS should self-bleed, that is if fitted

or bad trackrod end / swivel bearings etc.

possibly bent column?

Another vote for steering column UJ, a quick blast with your favourite penetrating oil will confirm it
