Have a landrover 90 when driving above 35mph the steering starts to like jerk to the right when driving in a straight line and gets worse faster you go but only dose it over 35/40mph I thought it might have been the cv joint I have changed this abd still doing this could the steering box corse this to happen as looks its leaking its a none power steering type or any other help would be much appreciated Thanks in advance

Steering ujs have play in them both top and the lower one could this corse the steering to be jerking and pulling to the right only dose this when driving in a straight line. I changed all the bearing took all the hud and swivel housing apart and put al back cleaned them all up evan change the pan hard rod bushes still doing it but found the steering ujs have play and the steering box a a slight leak its a none power steering box type thanks for your help and info in advance

if its a sharp intermittent jerks to the right it sounds like something binding up. Loose UJs on mine just gave a steering dead zone so that you could rock the steering wheel between 10 and 1 oclock in time with the music and still be going straight.

Right break disc warped maybe?

Thanks for replies . Yeh only dose it now and again and dose it evan more if you go over 45mph and its only the right side it jerks to. I will have a look at the brakes tomorrow 8f I get chance
