Landrover 110 van service with a intermittent fault

My wife can not understand why I would sand my defender for a service before a minor fault that it’ dies after a while this was asked to be looked at but the garage did not have time to look at it but had the service done what are your views on this
Should I have had the fault looked at first or should the the service been done as I asked for this to be looked at as well

A service may pick up the fault like a blocked fuel filter. Regardless of it having a fault it will still need a service and thank you for it. One of the cheapest and best things to do is to change all the oils to keep it happy and make it last longer.
