Read a post on here regards how simple it was to remove the plastic under pan for inspection of engine, so thought I would have a look around whilst waiting for yet another replacement part

(master cylinder) a separate ball ache,, someone said 20 / 30 mins,, is that lots of 30 min sessions of frustration I wonder?
Now I am used to engine / body work, having many scraped / blackened spanner fingers, but this design must have been dreamt up whilst on acid, missus had to pull me from under to stop the swearing “nice neighbors” will try again tomorrow maybe, need another coffee, Yours frustrated of Doncaster

To be honest any 4x4 ive owned ive normally taken the plastic tray off, last one was removed with a cordless grinder and cut into recyclable pieces
 
Yep that may be my today plan, prob try to figure out a simpler on & off plastic cover. The two hidden front bolts really are frustrating!

Two holes in bumper will allow decent socket to reach bolts. Clean threads and copperslip when rr fitting.
 
are they hidden behind flaps maybe? are they accessible from underneath? Thanks, fast running out of coffee n patience! darent miss another day out, missus will go mental,,
 
Its only 10 bolts. Put a trolly jack under it to stop it falling as yer take the bolts out. Then lower said jack and pull it out.

It depends on what year it is, as LR changed the mounting positions slightly over the production run.
There are 2 X 10mm head bolts securing the back to the front cross member.
There are 2 X 13mm headed bolts on each side, near the wishbone bolts.
There are either 1 or 2 bolts each side at the front of the side rails, hidden by the front bumper. These require a wobble drive to unbolt, and sometimes rust up too.
There could also be 2 plastic flaps on the bumper, which secure to the front of the sump guard, or 4 bolts fixing the bumper to the front of the sump guard, depending on the model of the car.

The guard takes about 10 minutes to remove, once you've done it a few times, and the bolts are greased.
 
New clutch cylinder fitted, no real problem, just cannot stop pedal arm / shaft popping back out, the stupid cheap assed plastic clip no good, may try a circlip,,

put the tie wrap around the other way so it can't fall off, check the travel of the pedal that it moves ok. The proper clip I've seen is called a spider clip and is made of metal of metal I think and can fall off.
