Good evening,

Today i spent half day looking for a thermostat in my land rover but i still cant find this, i verified the internet in several countries. The only thing I found in my car its that - https://www.megaparts.eu/en/product/1261227941. Can someone say me if this is the thermostat for my car? or tell me where to look for it exactly?

Thanks for everyone,
Regards

The original thermostat location is behind the engine, on the back of the water pump.
The thermostat was later moved to the radiator pipes at the front of the engine.

Here's where it's located on the 1.8 K series, this is from an MGF.
The head is also removed in this picture.

The link I sent, this thermostat is in the upper right corner of the engine could this part serve as a thermostat?

No. That's the top hose outlet, not the thermostat.

The K series thermostat is on the return. Look at the picture above. ;)

Could you tell me if I need to unscrew the suction collector to remove it?
I've no idea what that is.

You can get to the thermostat from below the car on the right hand side, back of the engine. Or it's possible to get to it from above, again at the back of the engine. Access is better if the inlet manifold is removed, but that's not necessary, if you can reach.

Why do you want to remove the thermostat?

I bought a new thermostat, because the engine temperature indicator has moving up for the last two weeks while driving and the cabin heating has stopped working

Not to mention the problem that I have been struggling with for several years. Namely, the coolant from the expansion tank is still running out while most of the fluid is still in the system.

Where is the coolant coming from? The early 1.8 was known for head gasket failure, which results in coolant blowing out the pressure cap.

Could you advise me where to look now? I replaced the last part of exhaust because it had a small hole. I also replaced the driver's window regulator because its not worked for some time. I change the thermostat, you can see that after replacement it holds the cooling water in the expansion tank. During the replacement, one cable broke off at the bottom of the engine on the opposite side of the thermostat, the only cable that is connected directly to the engine (two small blue cables with a plug) I think I fixed it. But what is this cable responsible for? After this all changes the car stopped firing, all fuses under the hood and under the steering wheel work, the starter works. Before he shot always without problem.

Anyway,
Thank you much for all your help!
