Hello to everybody
I recently experienced something weird with the agent of Land Rover in Trinidad and Tobago> I have a turbo on a TD5 which need replacement and I went to the local agent to ask for a quote for a new Garrett turbo with gaskets.
After being told that my VIN # was for a 4 cylinders engine the salesgirls finally gave me the quote for the turbo airfreight : 46 000 dollars Trinidad which is approximatly 8000 USdollars and by sea freight it is 34000 Trinidad dollars or 6000 USD.
You can imagine that i was flabagsted when I heard that and I tried to explain her that from other official Land Rover the same Garrett turbo was around 900 USD. Not a chance. I sked her to confirm that price which she did by email and I want to forward this email to Land Rover head office to ask for an explanation.
I tried to find their email address but there is no such a thing on their web site. If somebody can help by giving me their email address or forward this info to land Rover I will appreciate .
I had quite a few land Rover up to today but a 8000 USD turbo that is a first.
Finally I am going to get it from Famous Four anyway.
