one thing i have noticed u said check that wasnt there was the bolt that holds up the responder u said check its clean and dry etc well on mine the wire goes intpo the responder, then the responder goes into a black casing that just sits in a slot above head liner is doesnt have a bolt or anything like that to screw to roof. is this normal?
I think that was @brian47 who mentioned that , iirc the early ones had an electrical connector for the earth, the later ones used a fixing bolt to make the earth.
