I do like the old one but I quite like having modern technology in my car so I would buy the new one given the choice.
SOD THAT. No car needs 84ecus. I personally prefer my vehicles with as little technology as possible. My Landy only has lights, windscreen wipers and a heater. If it wasnt for living in Britain, I'd get rid of the heater.

I was looking at Land Rover Defenders and happened to see this article which sold me. I'm going to look at one this weekend. Do you have any suggestions on what I should be looking for?
Fair point. I quite like up to date technology but then I'm addicted and do a lot of travelling so kind of need a sat nav and somewhere to play music. Radio doesn't cut it for me.

Gets my vote, every time. Simpler the better.

iPhone, done

+1 - minimum technology all the way - and the phone breaks - it doesn't f*** the car - plus the limit of exposure is to a new phone, which even at crapple's prices, is about £600 ish :)

No stereo. Horn, sometimes.

well , it is more leccy- trcicty init.

Cheers

No idea how you manage the seat moving and aircon, what about seat heating or park heating ? nothing to say about heated screens?? live in the dark ages you do, mammoths you have as pets I tell ya.

Cheers

I've driven 1970s Minis most of my life, or carb'd motorbikes, I'd still have a Nokia 3110 if I could get away with it. But who phones and texts anymore, it's all WhatsApp and messenger. The satnavs handy too. As for aircon, bulkhead vents or open window. Heated seats, eat a hot chilli con carne or curry. Heated screen, turn on the demister and wipe with a cloth. Move seats, why would I move a seat, I am the only one who drives it, the seats never move.
