I agree there is nothing better then the original but this is pretty awesome.





The most obvious mod is the replacement of the diesel engine to GM's 6.2-liter LS3 small-block V8.

Agreed, super reliable with lots of torque.

Some fantastic attention to detail gone into that, I dread to think what the final cost was!

How many defenders are running that engine in the uk?

I reckon quite a few, is it an easy conversion? When you watch Fast n Loud and other shows they seem to get these crated engines in for $5000 and pop them in, upgrade brakes, suspension (air ride) all a piece of cake. Appreciate Fast n Loud is not reality as such.

I plan to run mine with its ex - chimera RV8 for as long as possible but it's difficult to argue with something as well executed as that conversion.

I guess same again for fitting and fettling, brakes and suspension upgrades. Although I don't have the money now, its pretty cheap for what you get.

I spent £2½k just on brakes for my old skyline gtr a few years back. 6 laps of Snetterton with the standard brakes and the pedal went to the floor. Thankfully I was just rolling into the pits.

Fair to say I would have this over a Bentley.....if I could afford it.
