don't change just the seals, change the complete master, whilst i appreciate where you live you should be able to get one shipped, they cost about 10 quid brand new plus shipping.
 
wat could be the reason for water absorption?

The master is available here but it is quite costly, costs abt 40 wen it reaches here

40 quid is quite a sum here

anything is worth a try of course, you've got the seals, fit them, change all fluid and see how it goes, talking of which i gotta go,LEE
 
brake and clutch fluid is hygroscopic - ie it absorbs water from the atmosphere. That is why it is recomended to change it every so often. If the colour has gone to grey - then it is well past its best and may well be contaminated with water (or metal). for the cost involved, change it.

i think it is recommended every 5 years or so - but basic rule of thumb is that if it has changed colour then it may well be contaminated and wont do any harm to change it. If water has got into the system, then that wil corrode the pipes, cylinders and seals very quickly.
 
if the master pump seals are worn should i also replace the seals on the slave pump at the same time, or would it be wiser to let them be and stick only to the master

since i'm having serious relaiblity issues

If yu changed it last Oct and it has discoloured since then, I would suspect it to be metal contamination. Best bet is not to replace seals, but to replace master, slave and fluid complete. It wont cost alot and it will ensure a completely new system. Seals are only a stop-gap fix, quite often.

If you are using non-genuine parts they will not last .....& new seals are awast of time .Only fit "Girling" OEM cylinders
