Absolutely. It might have been better for the owner if the thieving little feck had rolled it into a twisted fireball. At least then the owner would have got paid out for the loss and the crim would've received a firey death sentence rather than a £20 fine.

All the police would have had too do, was wait at the junction before the hill, he'd have been bound to have turned off.

Insurance should still pay out for the damage.

Ofcourse premiums are likely to rise, but they would do on a total loss anyway.

best (worst?) chase i ever heard of was about 15 years ago in North Staffs, 6 cop cars and a helicopter trying to take out a plastic pig as it drove the roads across Biddulph Moor. whole thing took an HOUR!

There was a similar one not too long ago, well a few years back anyway, the guy was a post office robber and used a 3 wheeler for his getaway as the police cant stinger it due to H&S, that was great thinking except the bit where its fookin slow and cant turn corners fast, I believe he got a bit over excited and rolled it in the end...
