Land Rover 90 rebuild diff issue

Hi

well I’m doing something stupid or I’m being stupid . My Landy 90 1990 came with arp air looking diff and what looks like heavy duty drive shafts . I cannot get them out Thayer Evans seems to be a hexagonal nut that I this is cast as I can’t do anything with it . I need to strip it out to change disks etc and rebuild . Here is a pic

if you put the flange bolts back in nut should undo so you can remove the cv circlip

Those hex nut covers can end up being very tight. if you put the flange bolts back in , you may still need to find a way to stop the hub rotating as you try to undo the nut. It should be the same size as the wheel bearing lock nuts.

Is that a spot weld on one of the flats of the big nut?

I hope not . I’ll find our in a bit just going down there

I think it's an anti-turn tab knocked-up against the flat.
