Hi all, just got my first land rover and unfortunatly the head gasket wasnt fitted correctly and its done a fair amount of damage to the engine. I was intending to change the engine, which is currently the 2.5 19j engine, but having it go on me just means i have to do it sooner than i intended. Now i've heard that the 200TDi conversion is the simpler one to do. But i was just wondering if anyone could tell me what needs to be done for a 300 conversion. I've heard its alot more work concerning engine mounts, but everyone keeps saying chuck in a 200 because its easier. But i'd like to weigh up both options before i go for a decision. Also if i decide to do the 300TDi conversion how much would it roughly cost for a garage to do it?

Cheers
