I've seen scissor doors on a purple P38 RR and it looked totally gay so I imagine it will look even worse on a Defender! How about a one-piece flip front on gas struts instead? Could make the rear tub tip too and detail the engine & chassis.

I should think so............now go and stand in the corner :p:D:D

As he's 17 shouldn't that be go straight to bed without any tea?:D

It would be interesting to see how you'd go about fitting them and hiding the hinges, as on a 'normal' car the door hinges are behind the door skin and wing but on a tratter they're on the outside.

Can't you do the usual 17 year old thing of putting a massive jack hammer sub woofer in and that Snoop Dog bouncy suspension malarky

Only pulling yer leg, now go and do your homework cos your mom will have cooked your tea soon:D

Well i for one would like to see the restored morris - point out what you did by yourself, what you had help with & we'll all be able to admire your work & judge what would be a good level to aim for...

Oh and to another fun question a.... Have you thought about finding an insurer that'll even entertain the concept of a defender with scissor doors... Let alone for a 17 yr old!

That would be nice project. The front clam has been done but not very common yet.

I dont have any photos of the moggy at the moment and I am at boarding school so no way of getting any for a while. All the work was done by me and my brother who is 15

yer thats a bit of a problem... got quoted 7k so may need to rethink, may make it cheaper if I list my dad as the main driver and owner

Right I have had my say with your project, you know what I think that it is a none starter for you, not that it cant be done.
Are you still serious about finding engineering solutions to fitting Lambo doors to a Defender?
I can give you some assistance but you will have to do a lot of work the good new is you will not have to purchase a Defender to get the project started and find the viability.

thanks. I think for now I will stick with standard doors, then in the future I can always swap them out if I feel the need
