My Rangy has some corrosion on the base plates of both mirrors. I don't fancy paying £400+ for new mirrors so could do with cleaning them up. I could do this with them in situ but don't fancy getting over spray etc on the car so would like to take them off and clean them up in the garage. Does anyone have experience of this or have any idea how to go about it?
